website? After months of hard work, the new Bolsover Partnership
website is live and open for partner consultation. Whilst still
under development, the next two months will provide partners with
the opportunity to view and comment on all aspects of the website.
All feedback is very welcome and will help to ensure that the site

Launched!
Losing a job or becoming disabled can be life-changing. It’s not
always easy to know what to do or where to turn for some help. But
the new on-line directory launched by Bolsover Partnership at
www.helptowork.bolsover.gov.uk may offer just the answer.

Royal Accolade
Paul Davies of Clowne Enterprise, a LEADER funded project, has
received the Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion 2011 from the Rt
Hon Dr Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and
Skills.

Meet the Buyer Event
6 September, Kissingate Leisure Centre,
Shirebrook
Local Businesses across North East Derbyshire are being invited to
attend a 'Meet the Buyer' Event for the new £4.7 million Shirebrook
Enterprise Centre. It will give local communities and suppliers the
chance to meet the building contractor and promote what services and
goods they can provide from the new Centre.
Making History - Hardwick Health
8 September, The Shoulder of Mutton,
Hardstoft
Following the Government's announcement to the changes in the NHS,
residents are invited to an event to find out more about the future
role of GP's in buying health services for the area.
Derbyshire Health and Wellbeing Stakeholder
Engagement Forum
13 September, County Hall, Matlock
Health reforms recently announced by the Government require the
County Council to establish a Health and Wellbeing Board. Partners
are ínvited to the first meeting of the Derbyshire Health and
Wellbeing Stakeholder Engagement Forum.
Disability in the Workplace
14 September, Assembly Rooms, Bolsover
Free training for HR specialists and anyone involved in recruitment.
This is an interactive session to help any employer, regardless of
size or sector to: better understand the Equality Act 2010 in
relation to employing disabled people; take the practical steps to
reduce risk of discrimination during recruitment; make easy
reasonable adjustments in the workplace.

Aspects of Mental Health - Supporting
People in Employment
4 and 7 October
Free training for employers, HR staff and line managers. This
session provides an overview of some elements of mental health
awareness with a practical focus on how organisations and staff can
offer support and includes: what is meant by mental health and
mental illness and the stigma still associated with mental illness;
the impact of mental distress on individuals; approaches to
supporting individuals in employment.

Rhubarb Farm is delivering a four-week 'Growing Vegetables' course
throughout the Autumn. The course will teach people the basics of

Funding Opportunities
The LSP's funding database is regularly updated with new and
upcoming funding opportunities, the latest updates include:
Banks Community Fund
The fund is available to third sector organisations in areas
surrounding current or proposed Banks Groups operations, which
include Chesterfield, Tow Law, Chorley, Glasgow and Thrislington,
County Durham. The scheme is intended to support local authorities,
environmental organisations and community groups undertaking
projects aiming to improve the environment and community in the
local areas of benefit.
Limestone Journeys Community Grant Scheme
Limestone Journeys has launched a grants programme for projects that
will conserve, enhance, celebrate or extend understanding of the
Limestone Journeys landscape.

Improving the way Derbyshire County Council
grit Derbyshire Roads
Last year Derbyshire County Council spent £4.5 million on gritting
and clearing snow from the roads. This year the Council want to
change the way they grit Derbyshire roads and want to know what you
think of their plans.
Suicide Prevention Strategy for England
This document sets out a proposal for a new suicide prevention
strategy for England with the aims of reducing the suicide rate and
improving support for those bereaved or affected by suicide.
