Social Enterprise Exchange is a project designed to offer a comprehensive programme of support for new and developing social enterprise in Sheffield City Region.
It is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund and has been developed by a consortium of specialist social enterprise support partners (of which CVP is one) that have come together to offer a broad range of support across the Sheffield City Region.
The purpose of the project is to contribute to jobs, growth and social inclusion with the objective of supporting at least 120 social enterprises over a three-year period, creating at least 50 social enterprise start-ups and delivering at least 50 new full-time sustainable jobs.
The partnership delivers specialist and bespoke advice and support and in addition to this, offers a range of awareness raising events, training, knowledge exchange and peer networking opportunities for those engaged in the programme.
Who the Social Enterprise Exchange Project Supports
Social Enterprise Exchange supports individuals, community groups and organisations across the region that are looking to start up or grow businesses with primarily social/environmental objectives, whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or community rather than mainly being paid to shareholders and owners.
